Good Morning Team!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  There hasn't been much news on the  team-front.  Our wonderful teammate Spincushions has been busy collecting all member's Facebook pages to add to the team page.  We are now posting about new team items, treasuries and more!  If you haven't already, please see her post here and give her your FB and if you have one, your twitter address so they can be added!

Also, Bekah who is in charge of our member features on the blog is looking for folks who would like to be put up in June.  If you are interested please see her post here or convo her with any questions!

Happy Friday fellow stitchers!

Its been a little quieter this week, which is good, I know I am finally getting around to working on embroidery again after settling into the new captain duties, dealing with our own blog and all the various parts of daily life that tens to get in the way of creative work when time crunches start to hit.  

This week, Shelley of Spincushions has graciously stepped up to take on managing the team facebook page.  While the account is already set up to automatically update with blog posts, Shelley plans to start updating with other items of interest, such as new items posted, treasuries  and team projects.  A huge "Thank You" to Shelley for taking this on for us!

Q.  Tell us a bit about yourself and your shop.

A.  I am a long time crafter. I have had a go at nearly everything you could possibly think of. Paper making, candles, decoupage, tassles, cross stitch the list goes on. In amongst all of this, a recurring theme has always been hand sewing. I love to embroider and hand sew and so when I made my first pincushion it felt so right, I just could not stop at one. Over the last few years I have made literally hundreds of pincushions. You can only give so many away though and so my etsy shop began.

Q.  What or Who inspires you?

A.  My materials inspire me. I love to sit down with my giant pile of felt in all its wonderous colours and my stash of embroidery thread and see what emerges. I am always brimming with ideas for new designs and never enough time to create them.

 

Q.  When you're not doing things for your shop can we find you around the internet?

A.  I can be found on Facebook  and Twitter

Q.  What tool could you not live without?

A.  My needle! Well make that needles. I have many - all threaded with lots of different colours.
