Happy Monday! Last week I featured some wonderful vintage embroidery kits
for those times when you just want to sit and get stitching…all the “work” of picking fabric, pattern and thread has been done for you. I know that vintage items are not everyone’s “thing”, so this week I am showing off a couple of kits from EtsyNEAT members.DIY Sugar Skull Cross Stitch Kit by bombastitch
In her Etsy shop, bombastitch, artist Kristy Kizzee features her very original and very amusing cross-stitch handiwork. You can buy her finished work or patterns....or one of her many kits put together with everything you need. She has so many fantastic ones to choose from; I particularly like this colorful Sugar Skull cross-stitch kit.
Shelley makes colorful hand-sewn pincushions that are available in her shop, spincushions. Made using recycled felt and embellished with hand-embroidery, these pincushions are so charming and cheerful. She has also put together some kits, like this wonderful peacock, so that with just a few basic hand sewing skills, you too can make one!
