Team Identity and Requirements
This week the EtsyNEAT leaders have been "meeting" to discuss our team's guidelines and requirements now that we're becoming a more active team. We felt the need to better define "needle arts" in order to be more clear to current and prospective members as well as to the outside world. Based on background information from leaders who have been on the team a lot longer than me and on a good discussion and majority vote from the leaders, we have clarified and revised our guidelines and requirements to reflect what we feel best represents and assists our team.
One new requirement of note is that each team member is asked to participate in the team discussion here on the blog or on our team page at least three times per month. We hope this will be a reasonable way to ensure that our members are active and involved.
I hope you'll take a moment to go over to the team page here and read the full breakdown so you're familiar with it. The leaders will be doing occasional audits of members' shops to make sure they still fit the team requirements, so you'll want to make sure you know what those are!

Team Challenge
Our member Spincushions has graciously stepped up to lead a monthly (completely voluntary) team challenge for us. This month's theme is "blue" and can be worked up in any way you like as long as it's needlework. The challenge starts today, so head over to the team page here to get all the details. We'll be posting our finished links here at the blog on March 25 and opening the voting at that time.

Team Swap
We've also got a quarterly team swap starting thanks to Haverhill Studio, and the theme for the first swap is pincushions. You have until March 15 to sign up, so if you're interested, click here to get all the details and sign up!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly through an Etsy convo. The leaders are working hard to make this an active, cohesive team, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions.
