Captain's Note & the Friday Linkies

Good morning, everyone, this is your captain speaking! (Sorry, I couldn't help it.) On Fridays I'll be popping in with a few words for you about ... Truthfully, I have no real plan. We'll just see what happens. :)

Today, though, I wanted to give you a few tips about how you can participate in the EtsyNEAT community. If you want to get the most out of your membership, keep these things in mind:

1. Show up. The more you participate in team discussions, make treasuries, share links, etc., the more visible you will be to your team members. This in turn will gain you additional networking resources---and, hopefully, more sales down the road!

2. Tag up. Label your photos with the "EtsyNEAT" tag. When you do this, you make it easier for team members (and others) to find your items when compiling treasuries or otherwise promoting your work if they like it.

3. Link up. Join us at Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook for additional connections.

4. Speak up. If you've got ideas or suggestions for ways to promote or grow our team, let us hear it!

I think I can speak for the rest of the team leaders when I say we're really looking forward to seeing what this team is capable of!

And now we're going to try something new: On Fridays we're also going to have a place where you can link up to your own blog posts (or flickr pages, or listings, or whatever) to show off this week's projects. I hope I've got the linkie thing working right---please let me know if you have problems.

So, assuming it's functional, just add your info below and share away! (And please take some time to visit each other and spread some love!)

Happy weekend!

  2. Cute! I love the pinup... it's been a long while since I did surface embroidery - so indulge with counted thread & beading embroidery!
